Schillings offers a large selection of Schluter®-Systems products. Schluter®-Systems products are specifically designed for the tile industry to ensure that installations maintain integrity and durability. The timeless beauty of ceramic and stone tiles enhances the aesthetics of any bathroom. Tiled showers, steam showers, and bathtub surrounds are luxurious and elegant and add to the value of your home.

Tiles are not inherently waterproof, however, and must be installed in conjunction with a waterproofing system that effectively manages moisture to protect moisture-sensitive building materials and control mold growth.

Assemblies achieved using the Schluter®-Shower System reduce total installation time and eliminate the risk of failures due to water and vapor penetration, thus preventing efflorescence and mold growth.

Schluter - KERDI

KERDI is a pliable sheet-applied polyethylene waterproofing membrane and vapor retarder that guarantees uniform thickness. It is covered with an anchoring fleece on both sides to anchor the membrane in thinset mortar and is suitable for waterproofing in conjunction with tiled surfaces on walls and floors. KERDI is 8-mil thick and has a water vapor permeance of 0.90 perms, when tested according to ASTM E96, using Procedure E at 90% relative humidity.

Schluter - KERDI - DRAIN

KERDI-DRAIN is a floor drain specifically designed to allow connections to Schluter-KERDI or other load bearing bonded waterproof membranes. The membrane is adhered to the large integrated bonding flange to form a waterproof connection at the top of the drain assembly. KERDI-DRAIN consists of a drain casing and fully adjustable grate assembly or covering support to which tile is applied. The grate assembly accommodates a wide range of tile thicknesses and allows lateral and tilt adjustment as well. The covering support is placed flush with the tip of the bonding flange and can therefore accommodate any thickness tile covering.

Schluter - DITRA

DITRA is specifically designed for ceramic and stone tile installations. DITRA provides uncoupling to prevent cracked tile and grout. Made of polyethylene, DITRA serves as a waterproofing layer that protects moisture-sensitive substrates, such as plywood/OSB. Free-space on the underside of the matting provides a route for excess moisture and vapor to prevent damage to the tile layer above. DITRA performs all these functions while still providing adequate support/load distribution for the tile covering.
