Q: What advice do you have for prospective Schillings candidates?
A: Have fun, love what you do, and always give it your all with anything you do! Do not be intimidated coming into this field if you don’t have much experience. We are all here to help and will help with anything along the way.

Q: What are 3 words that describe Schillings?
A: Hard working, friendly, and compassionate.

Q: What knowledge have you gained from working at Schillings?
A: I have gained TREMENDOUS knowledge about the various building materials and their uses. I have also been able to learn a great deal about the business world!

Q: What makes it fun to work at Schillings?
A: The people at Schillings are great! Being able to come to work every day and work with such a great group of people while serving our customers has been such a great experience.

Q: What is your proudest moment at Schillings?
A: While working at Schillings I have experienced a proud moment each and every day. Coming into a field that I have not had much experience in and now being as knowledgeable as I am now is such a great accomplishment. I am also proud to work for such a generous and caring company. Within the year I have been employed with Schillings I have been able to see and be a part of many generous donations to various people in need. Whether it be donating to a fellow employee in times of crisis or donating to less fortunate individuals within our community (even across the world), Schillings is always willing to give back.

A: Retail sales (Target)

Q: What advice do you have for prospective Schillings candidates?
A: Don’t be intimidated! There is a lot to learn, and the best thing you can do is strive to do your best. Having a good work ethic and taking pride in what you accomplish will take you far in this company.

Q: What are three words that describe Schillings?
A:
Engaging, growth, family

Q: What knowledge have you gained from working at Schillings?
A: Everything! I had no knowledge of the building industry before starting my career here, and after six years, I have learned more than I can put into words.

Q: What makes it fun to work at Schillings?
The people. With the hours we work, we really get to know one another, which makes our work environment a lot more comfortable.

Q: What is your proudest moment at Schillings?
A:
Becoming a contractor salesperson. At the time, I was the youngest and the only woman.

If you are looking for a great career opportunity, and are a hard worker, APPLY! Even if you have never worked in this industry before, on the job training at Schillings is amazing.

A: Busy, Caring, Hardworking

Q: What knowledge have you gained from working at Schillings?
A: When I started 2 years ago, I knew NOTHING. I am now the assistant store manager. From trim to flooring, windows to decking, I have learned vast amounts and continue to learn every day.

Q: What makes it fun to work at Schillings?
A: Schillings is a family-owned business, and we are all Family! I have amazing co-workers.

Q: What is your proudest moment at Schillings?
A: Being able to have the position I have at Schillings knowing the trust my co-workers and bosses have in me. That is something I am very proud of.

Q: What knowledge have you gained from working at Schillings?
A: Building materials knowledge, inventory management, analytical reporting, and price/contract/program negotiations are just a few.

Q: What makes it fun to work at Schillings?
A: Several company sponsored events such as bowling nights, Polar Plunge, training/product knowledge events w/catered lunches, and ice cream day!

Q: What is your proudest moment at Schillings?
A: Starting with the company as seasonal support and growing with the company into an upper-management position.
