Description

Douglas Fir has enjoyed a long career as a dependable and beautiful material for use in porch construction. It is commonly used in the Pacific Northwest and Craftsman style construction. Pound for pound, Douglas Fir is one of the strongest western soft woods. This wood is used in the manufacturing of more products than any other lumber species. This strong, reliable and workable wood is perfect for use in flooring and has been used for many years. The product is Easy to glue and has good nail and screw holding properties. The paint retention properties are good and it is fairly easily treated with preservatives.

The T&G stands for Tongue and Groove and is named for its edge-to-edge snapping. This allows two flat pieces to be joined strongly together to make a single flat surface.
