Schillings CDX Flameproof Plywood is met with the highest grading standards for strength and appearance. CDX Flameproof Plywood is chemically pressure-treated to reduce the spread of flames and generation of smoke. In the event of a fire, this plywood will not spread fire and develops less smoke. Typically permitted for interior, above-ground applications such as roof systems, flooring, and other interior applications.
This Plywood is CDX graded meaning the “C” side has a more rough surface with visible knots and splits. The “D” side is even rougher with a lot more noticeable knots and splits when compared to C. The letter “X” indicates the kind of glue utilized in the production line to bond the plywood veneers. It also represents exposure, which implies the plywood is sturdy enough to withstand a little moisture, though for a brief span only.
